Nazerene raced through the night black hair streaming out behind her, six hunters persuading her in two jeeps their bright LED headlights blazing harshly after her. Nazerene hated LED’s. Anyway she hadn’t seen what the problem had been it was just some gas station clerk in the middle of no ***************ing where, so why all this fuss? Ok, so she should have probably thought out slaughtering a damn 711 more carefully, alas Nazerene was not one to really plan, or in fact think ahead. Anyway, the vampire kept up the chase for a good two more miles before she suddenly turned and wove a spear of solid night and threw it at one of the Jeeps. She was rewarded with the spear hitting the engine and causing the stupid hunk of metal to explode. Well, that was one down. The remaining Jeep came to halt and the final three got out. Three men, Nazerene wove a long spiked whip from shadows and moonlight and cracking with a vampires quickness managed to tangle one of the hunters around the legs and send him screaming down the sudden drop behind her. Unfortunately, this allowed the two remaining hunters to get their guns out of their side holsters and shoot her, the first bullet buzzed an inch past her nose, and the other took her in the left shoulder. Pain exploded from the wound like fire. Nazerene hissed in pain. Silver judging by the persistent burning sensation. Nazerene hated silver. The vampire bared her fangs at the hunters as the approached, the flare of pain had caused her to drop to her knees. Nazerene had a low tolerance to both silver and being hurt, she wasn’t used to it, had in fact only been in such agony only twice before. They advanced, and Nazerene began to really consider that pissing off a group of trained hunters might have probably been a bad idea.

Eliza had been cleaning and hadn't seen her mistress sneak out. Normally a vampire could always leave, but she knew that if her mistress had sneaked out then she was up to no good. She tried to follow Naz's scent tracing it over to a nearby human town she saw the police near a 7/11 looking at the blood it had to be her. Yet she was not here. She headed out into the desert as she removed her hat letting her floppy rabbit ears sat around her head. She bent her legs taking on the aspect of the rabbit and took off across the desert. She found the exploded jeep wreckage and soon saw the other hunters. Without thinkig she tackled the one that had shot the silver bullet at naz colliding with him like a pink blur and sending him flying a good 50 feet across the sand. She hissed at the other two hunters. Upon seeing the ghoul they ran back to the jeep, hoping to escape. They couldnt tackle this vamp and her ghoul.

A blur of movement, like the tip of a horn from a rainbow unicorn, the force of which sent one of her attackers sailing fifty feet away from them. There was only one thing that could move like that, Nazerene groaned inwardly as she looked up and saw Her. Elizabeth was a short girl, 5’5, an inch taller than herself, a fact that gulled Nazerene to no end. Dressed in a ridiculous outfit that both left nothing to imagination, and whose color scheme had probably been born in hell itself, Eliza was probably the least threatening ghoul Nazerene had seen. Nevertheless, when the hunters realized they now had a ghoul to tend with, as well as Nazerene herself, they turned and ran.
Nazerene got to her feet, the effort it took was great, her legs trembled but by the force of her will she stood. 5’4 with delicate features Nazerene herself looked as if she belonged in a church somewhere else. Her eyes through, those eyes where what gave her away, they were a seething scarlet, inhuman and unnatural. Another gift from her maker, from a time when the undead were rightly feared and not some pop culture icon. Nazerene missed the old days. Anyway the hunters, panting Nazerene spoke in a low voice, “die…” ribbons of midnight suddenly slashed the fleeing hunters into so much gore. This finished Nazerene turned to Elizabeth, the stupid girl was just standing there, as if she’d never seen Nazerene give a demonstration of her manifested power. “let us return home,” she said, her face ashen. Nazerene had a very low tolerance to silver, probably because this was only second run in with the stuff. The sand under their feet suddenly began to shift, slowly, but with growing speed, Dark engulfed them and the next moment they were gone … Dark had many applications, one of them was traveling, which Nazerene seldom did, only now, she just wanted to be home, and there Elizabeth could get the silver out of her body before it killed her, or drove her insane, whichever came first.
